Privacy notice - Export Academy Platform

This notice sets out the basis on which Enovis, collects and processes your personal data, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and all applicable EU data protection and privacy legislation or regulations (together "Data Protection Legislation").

Your personal data is collected by Enovis at the time of your registration to the Export Academy Thinkific Platform and is necessary for the use of the training courses we make available, hereinafter referred to as "Service", to be carried out.

This Service is governed by the "Enovis Terms of Service” for the use of the contents made available on the Export Academy Thinkific platform.

We are committed to being transparent about how we collect and use that data and to meeting our data protection obligations.

  1. Purpose of processing

The personal data you provide in your application is aimed at the performance of the Service by Enovis in particular for making available training material for the clinical and practical applications of our equipment.

We may also collect usage information to help us improve the service.

The legal basis for processing are contractual measures (Reg. UE 2016/679 Article 6.1b) and legitimate interests (Reg. UE 2016/679 Article 6.1f)

  1. Type of personal data processed

As a general rule, Enovis will only collect your personal data where necessary for our Services. Depending on your use of our Services, Enovis may thus collect, use and disclose (i.e., process) the following types of personal data: contact information, such as your name, surname, e-mail address; training courses attended.

  1. Methods of processing

Enovis processes personal data using electronic tools and appropriate security measures. Access to personal data is limited to authorized personnel and is protected to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure. Enovis does not use automated decision-making, including profiling, for the purposes described in this notice.

  1. Data communication

Enovis may share your data with trusted third parties who process information on our behalf, such as IT service providers, technical or scientific consultants, and Export Academy Thinkific, which provides our learning platform.

As a multinational company, Enovis may also share your data with our affiliated entities in other countries for administrative and accounting purposes. When data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to ensure it remains protected.

We do not publicly disclose your personal data. However, we may provide it to public authorities when required by law or for official administrative purposes, in accordance with applicable national and European regulations.

  1. Data provision

You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to Enovis. However, if you do not provide the information, we may not be able to process your registration properly or at all and consequently we may not be able to provide the Service. 

  1. Data retention

Enovis will keep your data for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed and, anyway, in compliance with the current legislation. 

  1. Rights

As a person, you have several rights. Shortly you can access and obtain a copy of your data on request, require changing incorrect or incomplete data, to delete or stop processing your data, object to the processing of your data, and ask us to transfer your data to another organisation according to the provisions of the articles from 15 to 22 of EU Regulation 2016/679 GDPR.
